Legal Requirments
For all Greek Orthodox weddings, the bride or groom need to be Greek Orthodox and both to be baptized.
For all Catholic weddings, the bride and groom need to be Catholic and to have received approval from the local priest.
Civil weddings can be conducted at the City Hall and Municipal Council.
Documents required: Birth Certificate, Certificate of no impediment to marriage.
For all types of weddings in Greece documents must be translated in Greek.
